I Fell In Puppy Love

Hello All,

I can't believe my school year starts today. I feel like just yesterday I was moving in for my freshmen year and now I'm getting ready to start my senior year. In many ways I am not ready to start, but that is a post for a different day.

I moved into college early last Monday (you can read the post here) and during that time Mama J was on Disney Cruise.  After I week of training for me and week of R&R for Mama J we met up at mall to get dinner. At this particular mall they have a pet store where they sell pets and not just supply. They also let you play with the puppies in the store!

Now if you have been around these parts since March of 2014 then you may remember my 20 Facts about me post (if you not you can read it here). One of the facts that I share is that I love bulldogs. Well since writing that post I had fallen more and more in love with the breed. I've done a lot of research and I'm planning to buy one ASAP after graduating college.

Well while we were in the pet store I noticed that they had bulldog puppy and Mama J and I asked if we could play with him. He was the sweetest little thing in the whole world. He loved to be pet and he kept playing with my shoelace and I basically fell head over heels in love with the little tiny bulldog. If I was living in a college dorm I probably would have bought him. Before playing with the bulldog I was about 85% sure that I wanted a bulldog as pet. But after playing with the bulldog I have become 110% that I want a bulldog.

And of course I had Mama J take pictures of myself and the bulldog.

I love this picture!
Sometimes taking pictures isn't easy. LOL

I believe in this picture I am saying, "Oh you're so beautiful. Oh so so so so beautiful."
For anyone who is starting school in the next few days or weeks good luck with the upcoming school year!

Move in Day 2015

Hello All,

Somehow Senior year is already here and I've already moved in. Much like my Sophomore Year I moved in early. Meaning I still have about week to go before starting classes. But I have moved in and I figured I'd share because this blog deserves so major TLC.

I'll be honest with you guys I was as excited about move in day this year as I have been in the past. Normally I'm itching to get back to campus but this year I was dreading the unpack and the move things in and just wasn't jumping off the walls. Since move-in I'm happy to be back and the feelings of dread have disappeared (I'm pretty sure its just denial that somehow I'm a senior).

I planned to wake up around 8:30 but woke up at 7:30 and couldn't fall back asleep. I played on my phone for a while but eventually got up. I collected last minute things and packed them up. I wanted to clean out the front seat of my car so I ran down to my dumpster and started to clean. When I was pulling back up to my drive way the people who were painting my condo were there. Luckily they were super nice and let me pull into my driveway for like 5 minutes while I loaded in my suitcase and stuff.

After I left my house I stopped by Stop and Shop to buy some snacks. While I was walking around I had eureka moment and realized that I needed to buy toliet paper! Luckily I remembered and grabed while I was at Stop and Shop.

Then I official hit the road. I made a quick pit stop at Starbucks.  They were out of my favorite drink so I got my back up drink and it wasn't all that good.

When I got to school I checked in and unpacked. And unpacking was a lot easier then I was expecting and my room is about 95% complete...they only thing left to do is hang things up which I'm having difficulty with this year for some reason.

Because I moved in early none of my roommates here yet but I can't wait until they move in because it does get kind of lonely.

I also vlogged this experience if you click here you can watch it. Its not my best work but its not horrible either.

I would love to talk to anyone who reads this post. So, in the comments tell me what your dream college dorm room color scheme would be as well as theme.

BOOK REVIEW: The Third Twin

Hello All,

Recently I have been having a really hard time finding books that can keep my attention for more then a couple days or that truly interests me. I have started about three books this summer that I haven't been able to finish because I was just bored and couldn't get into the book. But this week I finally finished a book and now its time to review it.

In the past week I read the book The Third Twin by CJ Omololu. The book is about two teenage twins, Ava and Lexi. When they were young if they broke a rule they would tell their dad that their triplet, Alicia, did it. As the twins grew up the twins would pretend to be Alicia when they dated boys that they didn't deem good enough to date them.  But when one of the boys that Alicia dated ends up murder Lexi (the more responsible twin) gets worried that the cops are going to connect them to them and wants to quit the Alicia thing. Ava is very nonchalant about it and wants to keep up with charade. But when a second boy that Alicia has dated ends up dead too, Lexi finds herself the number one suspect.

This book moved very slowly through about 75% of the book. But I don't know if the author could have written it any other way in order to add in all the detail. Even though I understand why the author might have drawn it out so much I will say that I wasn't a big fan of how long it took for the first murder to happen and then how long it was between the first and second murder. There were times where I had to keep checking the book cover because it took almost 200 pages for the book to hit the end of the summary.

For me very few of the characters had depth, a lot of them felt stereotypical following a semi stereotypical path. For example the identical twins had one nerdy sister who worked really hard in school. While they other one was very self absorbed, paid more attention to boys and being popular rather then paying attention to school.

My favorite part of the book though was how the mystery was written. For the first about 150 pages I was convinced I knew who the killer was and was probably who the killer want us to believe was killer all along. But then there was this moment and it clicked. I realized who the killer really was and I loved the twisted. At the moment it felt like it was completely out of left field. But now a day after finishing it I keep thinking of moments where hints are dropped. The ending made sense and was perfect because it was predictable.

Although I spend to paragraphs down playing the book I actually really would recommend it.Mainly because the twist was so perfect. The author did such an amazing job building up the suspense and dropping small hints that you'd really have to pay attention in order to pick up on. I think I would give it 7 out of 10 stars.

My Thoughts on Vlogging My Vacation

*Note: I found this in my draft folder and realized that I never published it. It was supposed to be published before my Disney 2015 Wrap Up post. But I'm putting it up now****

Hello All,

Before I wrap up this trip for good (that'll be next post) I wanted to talk to you guys about how I felt vlogging my trip. If I would do it again? If I'm planning to do it again what I would do differently. Before I share all of this with you guys though I do want to say I don't regret it at all and I'm so excited to be to go back watch this trip over and over again.

I came up with the idea of vlogging this trip a long time ago. Actually probably around the time that the three of decided to save the money and fly away to Disney together. But getting ready to vlog was not an easy task. It started with the fact that I couldn't for the life of me find the camera I was planning on using for vlogging. It was the camera that I used to take picture on my last Disney Trip. Then I found the camera and couldn't find charger. And then it wouldn't charge properly. Finally I fixed all the bugs and we were good to go!

One problem that I came across a lot was being self conscious about bring the camera out. I didn't want to disturb anyone or annoy Hannah and Mandi. Luckily they both seemed pretty supportive of me vlogging and being on camera but I didn't want to put too much pressure on them. If I did again I would bring the camera out a lot more.

I also felt as if I never left my real personality out as much I as I should have in vlogs. I love to joke around and have fun but I feel like a lot of times I feel like I just kind of gave information rather then send jokes around and laugh. If I did it again I would want to joke more and probably let other people hold the camera, even if it was just facing me to get more funnier clips of myself.

One thing that I regret both with vlogging and blogging was not taking either camera out at our dinners. The character meals I share clips and got pictures. But we ate at 3 other restaurants and have next to no prove that that even happened. I wish that I filmed sometimes in each of the restaurant and got a lot more pictures, both food and atmosphere.

One big thing I learned was that when I vlog I have to talk at normal level. A lot of times during my vlogs that sound quality seemed strange and it was because my voice got too loud. If I were to vlog another trip I would feel the need to be a little bit more even toned so that would happen less.

The final thing I wish I had done more of was capturing the little moments. I feel like a lot of the clips were me telling people what we did rather then showing them. I got some clips from rides and some clips from shows. But I wish that I gotten clips of us playing the phone game Heads Up and gotten me trying my first drink on camera. If I vlogged again I would try to capture more of those moments while living in the moment.

Okay so I'm going to stop being coy with you guys. I do plan to vlog my future trips. I had a lot of fun vlogging and a lot of fun editing my vlogs. After this trip I realize that I want to give a little more attention to my youtube channel then I have in the past. Although I would love to say that I would do like 1 video a week that doesn't seem realistic at the moment. But I can say that I will be vlogging day trips as well as vacation for at least the foreseeable future. I want to thank you guys so much for following along and hope that you will continue!

Boston 2015 Day 2

Hello All,

So the other day I wrote about Boston 2015 Day One. On our second day in Boston we woke up around 9:00 AM and got ready for the day. We loaded our stuff into the car and headed out for the day. Our first stop was Harvard Square. As some of you may know I have a mild obsession with the Ivy Leagues so Mama J said we should go see Harvard. When we first got there we went to this little Mexican place that was kind of like Chipotle. I personally didn't like it and Mama J thought it was just okay.

After some aimless walking we decided we'd do a tour. We did our tour through Hahvahd Tour which is tours done by actual Harvard students. We both really liked it. Our tour guide was a little enthusiastic but sweet all the same. We also stop in one of the shops and got some yummy Insomnia Cookies. I would definitely recommend this tour group.

After visiting Harvard we went to the North End and enjoyed a nice lunch at small italian restaurant. I can't for the life of me remember the name of. But it was cute and small and yummy. And that pretty much completely our time in Boston. We took the T back to our hotel. Go our car and drove home.

I had a great time in Boston. This has become a little tradition in our family and I hope that we get to do this again next year.

Boston 2015 Day 1

Hello All,

Since I now have a new computer its time to recap so the things that I did this summer. In reality I didn't do much this summer . 🙈But one of the things that I did was spent a couple of days up in Boston with Mama J in mid June.

The morning we left Mama J had some errands to run. I woke up when she was leaving and started packing and getting ready. Unfortunately it was raining which could have really messed up our plans for the night but we stayed hopeful and hit the road. When we got to Boston we checked into our hotel and hopped on the T to explore the Quincy market area. We had fun but we were soaking wet and cold.

When it was time for dinner we headed over to the Prudential building and met up with my cousins, Carey and Noah for dinner. We ate dinner at 5 Napkin Burger. My cousins both got a burger which they both really liked but felt that it was big. Mama J got a salad I believe and it said that it was okay. I got a buffalo chicken appetizer and a side order of mac and cheese. I really liked the appetizer but the mac and cheese was a little more gourmet then I was expecting. Although this restaurant wouldn't be my first choice of restaurant I would return if other people wanted to go.

The whole reason that we went to Boston was for a Boston Red Sox game ⚾️. When we got to Feneway Park we were so excited to see that we had gotten seats under the awning meaning we'd be shelter from the constant rain. The first few innings of the game no one scored a run but around inning four or five the game really started. The final inning we were down by 3 runs and had pretty much given up on them winning. But in the last inning they got really close and it was the most intense inning I had ever watched. Unfortunately they lost but it was still a lot of fun.  One of the funniest part of the game was the two drunk couples behind us. They were loud and obnoxious and so funny to listen to between innings or when they other team was doing better then the Sox and I may have been slightly bitter.

The view from our seats
Selfie of Mama J and I. Don't you love Mama J's new Red Sox sweatshirt
When you're a Disney fan you have to take a picture of Red Sox Mickey Mouse right?
And a snap that I sent. {Snapchat judy_judy94}
After the Red Sox game we said our goodbye to Carey and Noah. Mama J and I headed back to our hotel where we watched some Criminal Minds and vegged before we crashed for the night.

Keep your eyes out for Boston 2015 Part 2 which should be up in the next couple of days.

Disney 2015 Wrap Up

Hello All,

I have been dragging out my Disney 2015 recap for many weeks now and it was time to officially wrap it up.

This trip was a trip of a lifetime. It was the first time I had ever made for a trip by myself and I may or may not be secretly planning my next grown up paid all by myself trip and this one most likely won't be to Disney. Shocker I know!

This trip had so many highlight. From meeting Ana and Elsa and acting like a 5 year old to getting to go to Disney World with two of my friends. And of course turning 21 in Disney World.

Part of me is really sad that this trip recap is done on my blog. I love sharing my trips with you guys. Even if sometimes it takes almost 6 months to share all the details. I hope that you guys enjoy reading them. I try to a large variety of different post, from restaurant posts to day by day recaps to more in depth post about big events/activities. Plus I love sharing my pictures and now my vlogs (You can check the Disney playlist out here).

Normally in my trip wrap ups I announce my next trip. I am going on a family vacation later in August but I won't do much coverage on the blog.  Although I know I have another trip planned in about eighteen months I feel like it is too early for me to announce it so you guys are going to have wait to hear about. And for all I know I will go on another trip before hand.

And that is a wrap on Disney 2015! See ya real soon!
